WWG announced that it has added in-app tournaments to the Star Realms app. Most tournaments will require an entry free (paid in credits…the same credits you can earn and spend in the Arena), though WWG has stated that there will also be some free tournaments.

An Interview with the Tournament Winner follows the Recap
WWG completed its third online Star Realms Legends Series Event, on October 24, 2020.
It began with 69 players battling through 7 Swiss rounds, after which the Top 8 would advance to a final single elimination round. The winner of that final single elimination round would be crowned the newest Legend!

With Frontiers Promos being released in the digital app, we have updated the card tier list to include the cards from Frontiers Promos.
WWG recently ran an online Star Realms Legends Series Event, on August 1, 2020, the second such event of 2020. It was another well-run event by WWG.
It began with 96 players battling through 7 Swiss rounds, after which the Top 8 would advance to a final single elimination round. The winner of that final single elimination round would be crowned the newest Legend!

I’m pleased to announce that we’re just a couple days away from the BGG Star Realms League – the oldest running Star Realms competition – beginning its 50th season of play on 1 July. This is not only a major milestone for the League, but it also marks the implementation of the biggest set of changes to the League during my tenure as League Commissioner and possibly in the entire history of the League.
WWG recently ran an online Star Realms Legends Series Event, on June 20, 2020. While there have been a couple online Legends events in the past (which were fan-run), this was WWG’s first official foray into the online tournament scene.
It began with 125 players battling through 7 Swiss rounds, after which the Top 8 would advance to a final single elimination round. The winner of that final single elimination round would be crowned the newest Legend!
After the 7 Swiss rounds, a clear Top 8 emerged…no tie-breakers needed. Continue reading
